  May Bank holiday wedding at Fernhill

  We had such a beautiful wedding at Fernhill. Neil and Anne were such an amazing support in the run up to the wedding. They were always so professional and at the other side of the phone when I needed help with suppliers...They really took the stress out of the occasion and organising.They both were so calm on the day beaming from ear to ear. The room was fabulously decorated and the food was unbelievable. We were so delighted to get lovely photos in the amazing gardens with spectacular views. It was brilliant not to have to go to another location for photos and we had so much fun taking our photos. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you want a wedding with beautiful food in a stunning location

  Wedding reception venue

  Having had our wedding reception here in Fernhill House in June was definitely the best decision we made. From the very first meeting with Ann the coordinator we knew it was a special venue. We wanted a venue that was homely and family run and we got this in abundance in Fernhill. The location with such beautiful gardens are simply stunning, the friendliness of the staff, the amazing food and service is second to none. The day was such an amazing and relaxed atmosphere and that is down Ann, the O'Neill family and all their staff, we couldn't have asked for more. Nothing was too much from start to finish and this made our experience all the more enjoyable. Many of our guests complimented the food, friendliness of staff and service. Thank you again for making our wedding day so memorable, we are truly grateful. Looking forward to returning to Fernhill again soon.

  Our wedding day

  Myself and my now husband had our wedding reception in the stunning Fernhill House Hotel and Gardens on the 3rd of May this year.
  The location was simply stunning, food was delicious, staff couldn't have been more accommodating and a really relaxed atmosphere all day and night.
  We loved the fact that the hotel is family run which I think adds to the relaxed feel.
  A special thank you to Ann, wedding coordinator of Fernhill, there was nothing too much trouble. She guided the day with ease and a smile from ear to ear, always!
  Well done Fernhill and congratulations to the O'Neill family on a fabulous business!

  our wedding

  From our very first trip to suss out the venue, until our last "dram" in the resident's bar at the end of our special day, we could not have been happier with our choice of venue. Due to some major but unpredictable family events, some changes had to be made at the last minute and Neil and Ann were very understanding and obliging. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout. Examples include some fussy eating guests being allowed to tinker with the menu, while others were served their meal at a later time when children's bedtimes got in the way of the meal. All made more impressive by the fact that 200+ guests were served delicious meals in an incredibly timely manner. The hotel was decorated beautifully and whenever we asked to add our own little touches, whether it was to the décor, the drinks reception, the layout of the room or bringing a bagpiper into the reception, we were never met with any opposition. We were allowed to make it a very personal wedding. Half of our wedding party were travelling from Scotland and the other half were locals from West Cork. The comments from further afield were along the lines of "the best wedding reception we have attended" and "Never had nicer food at a wedding" while the ones from the locals said "why would anyone pick anywhere other than Fernhill? I would find it hard to argue with any of them. The travelling Scots made Fernhill their base for the long weekend and were made to feel very welcome throughout. This was the first time in Ireland for many of the guests and all left with a place in their heart for Clonakilty, I'm sure there will be some return journeys.

  In January of this year we celebrated our wedding at Fernhill House Hotel. Everything about our experience was 5 star. The planning process was seamless and relaxed and the attention to detail was outstanding. We were able to use moposa also which was so helpful. The team there gave us tips and advise on things we had not though of and made the whole process so enjoyable.
  Our menu tasting was a very enjoyable evening and we really felt that we got such good service it really reflected the service we got on our big day.
  The drinks reception and food on the day was amazing. People are still talking about it. Everyone commented on how great the staff were, from the bar staff to the waiting staff they could not have done better. Everyone was served at the same time.
  Another point which really stood out for us was the people with specific dietary needs were catered for so well. All in all we could not recommend the hotel and staff highly enough.

  Outstanding wedding reception

  As we both live in the UK but wished to get married in Ireland, it was an initial concern that organising a wedding from another country would be difficult. From the moment we first met with Neil and the team all our concerns were out to rest. On our first visit to Fernhill during our research stage of wedding planing we were instantly blown away by the venue, the house itself is a magnificent building of which the architecture is fully complemented by the view. As you look out on the amazing scenery you will be met with the exceptional garden that lies down the hill at the front of the house.
  Ths initial viewing was enough to convince us to choose Fernhill House as our first choice, what we were not expecting was the standard of service from the owners and staff.
  During the weekend of the wedding both Neil and Ann really supported and guided us throughout; even whilst on the Friday before the big they were attending to another wedding - quite another level of multitasking.
  On the day of the wedding, everything went off without hitch thanks to Neil and Ann's quick thinking; accomadating unannounced guests last minute and even removing make up stains from my collar in time for photos - they really went above and beyond!
  All guests were blown away by the food and it became a talking point of the day, actually the weekend as we had a second day's celebrating on the Sunday.
  The venue has excellent relationships with suppliers in the area of whom work closely to deliver a service of exceptional standard.
  Our guests have yet to stop talking about the wedding and this is purely down to a seamless delivery.

  Our Wedding March 2018

  I cannot recommend fernhill highly enough, from the moment we went to view it they treated us like VIPs. Nothing we asked off them was too big or too small and everything ran so smoothly. We had our day the way we wanted it and they accommodated everything. The food was amazing, and the accommodation is stunning. Thanks so much to Neil, Ann culinane and all the staff at fernhill. Our day was amazing.

  We were married in March and had our wedding reception in Fernhill House Hotel. The whole process and service we received was absolutely outstanding. The O’Neill Family and all staff were very professional and fantastic to deal with from the moment we booked. Their attention to detail was second to none. We received invaluable advice and tips from Ann, the wedding co-ordinator, and all the O’Neills. On the day itself, the venue looked simply stunning, with no detail overlooked. The warm welcome we received in Fernhill was so lovely. Our meal was simply sublime from start to finish. All our guests were talking about the quality of the food and the service they received. All dietary needs were catered for without any fuss or compromise in quality or choice. The management were present throughout our day to oversee proceeding and to step in to offer assistance at any moment. Ann, Neill and all the staff ensured we had an amazing day from start to finish.
  
  I couldn’t recommend Fernhill any higher-once you select it as your wedding venue you won’t have to worry about another detail and will be able to enjoy every moment of your wedding day!

  Wedding May 11th.

  Fernhill House Hotel is a superb venue. We are delighted that our daughter and her new husband chose this hotel for their wedding. A special day made extra special in a relaxed, friendly and efficient manner. The day was made very personal with great attention to detail thanks in no small part to the O’Neill family and their wonderful team. The food is amazing whether it’s dining in the restaurant or wedding banquet and there is no compromise on quality or presentation. We certainly could not find anything negative about Fernhill, nor could any of our guests.

  Wedding Venue
