Marlfield House and gardens is truly one of Ireland’s most romantic country houses. The Bowe family and their team have welcomed guests to the magnificent house for over 39 years. Set on 36 acreas of gardens and with its elegant reception rooms and 19 bedrooms, it is an oasis of tranquility that can be exclusively yours for your wedding day.

The dedicated team of staffwill pamper wedding guests from the moment of arrival with champagne cocktails and delicious canapés served in the reception rooms and beautiful gardens. The reception rooms, bedrooms and State rooms at Marlfield are exquisitely furnished and provide an exceptional setting. Open fires, antiques, paintings and scented flower arrangements abound and are the first indications that the setting is a much loved house.

Marlfield is situated one hour south of Dublin and just one mile outside Gorey which has a host of great suppliers including excellent hairdressers, makeup artists, three four star hotels and numerous bed and breakfasts within minutes of the hotel.

The house can cater for up to 140 guests. Packages including the arrival reception, champagne and canapes, the wedding meal with wines, late night feast, all floral arrangements are all available to choose from. Couples can celebrate the ceremony in the intimate Print Suite or in the gardens, or in one of the many churches nearby. Dinner is served in the candle lit, frescoed conservatory dining room overlooking the parterre garden and lawns. Herbs and vegetables from the kitchen gardens and meat and fish sourced locally are prepared by the talented award winning kitchen brigade. Following dancing till the early hours in decadent surroundings a cheese and port feast can be served. Guests may then retire to bed, and following a peaceful slumber re-join for breakfast.

Pre or post barbecues and buffets can be arranged in either the house itself or The Duck Terrace Restaurant on the grounds. Marlfield also has a private room suitable for wedding parties of up to 55 when exclusive use of the house is not required. From the Drawing Room to the Library and Conservatory dining room, all rooms have the flexibility to make your day totally unique and personal.
