The hotel is situated on the banks of the River Shannon, set on 26 acres of woodland and riverside walks, incorporating mature gardens. We are delighted to have this opportunity to introduce you to the services and surroundings at the Castle Oaks House Hotel, the perfect location for your very special occasion.

The Dedicated Wedding Team here at the Castle Oaks personally look after all wedding enquiries; from your initial show around to the final drinks on your wedding night we are on hand to ensure your day is just perfect. As we are a specialised wedding venue, we enjoy making your day very special.

The house has many of its original features still in place. The curved staircase, high corniced ceilings and cut glass chandeliers are beautiful. the hotel has held its country house feel while still modernising to offer every modern convenience.

The Stradbally banqueting suite was built while owned by the Presentation Sisters The floor to ceiling stained glass windows are a beautiful feature. In the evening the natural sunlight transcends through the multi colour glass creating a magnificent array of colour in the room throughout dinner.
The hotel hosts almost one hundred weddings each year and has been an award winner for Premier wedding location on numerous occasions.


Our packages are designed to allow maximum flexibility to each couple. Packages start from €45 per person. Couples can also create their own tailor made package.
There are a number of options regarding the supply of beverages for your meal. We welcome couples sourcing their own wines and champagnes. Should you wish to choose from our wine selection there is also excellent choice and value on offer.

Superb Venue!

Superb venue for a wedding reception. Gorgeous period features, stunning grounds, food and service to the highest standard. Liam and team are fantastic to deal with. Guests remarked it was the best hospitality they had seen. Nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation caters for all different budgets between chalets, apartments and the house itself. We can't wait to return back for our next stay, it is such a romantic location. Thank you for everything.

My daughters Wedding.

My daughter and my now son in law had their wedding reception in the Castle Oaks last Friday. From the very 1st visit to the hotel Liam and his team have been outstanding. No task was out of reach. They went above and beyond every call and accommodated us over 100% with every request. The staff on the day and service provided was absolutely outstanding. The food was well above Michelin standard and free flowing wine, just to mention a few points. Even down to the early hours of the morning and the following day, the standard remained very high. Liane and Kevin had an amazing day, as did their guests. The suites and rooms were impeccable, and a large buffet breakfast with plenty of variety awaited guests the following morning. Set in beautiful surroundings covered in flora and fauna, the Castle Oaks created the perfect backdrop for their photographs, and the memories made there will be ones to cherish forever. I wish there was a 10* rating ... of which I would give without doubt. Thank you Liam, Patrick, Gobnait and all the staff for what Liane and Kevin now call the best day of their lives. It was more than a pleasure dealing with you all and I remain forever grateful for the fantastic service you provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Castle Oaks House Hotel for anyone wishing to have the perfect wedding.

We were so well taken care of!

We were so well taken care of. Liam couldn't have done more. We had such a brilliant day! We're still getting compliments on the food. We loved that all of our guests could stay in the hotel and that the venue was exclusively ours for the evening. Can't recommend it highly enough!

An amazing day

Thank you so much to Liam and his team in Castle Oaks. We had an amazing day... great attention to detail, lovely service, delicious food... and the setting is just perfect. All our guests commented on the excellent wedding meal and brekkie the next morning! Thanks again, you made our day very special.

A Great Venue for our Wedding Day

What a great venue for our wedding day!! Liam, Ciara, Patrick, Rebecca and all the team really looked after us. They allowed us to decorate the room ourselves and really add our own touch. It was such a nice cosy atmosphere for all our guests and everyone remarked at what a wonderful location the Castle Oaks is. Everyone remarked at how quick the food came out to their respective tables and how piping hot it was on arrival, not to mention delicious!

We could not have had a better day.

Recently held our reception in the castle oaks and we couldn't have had a better day. Booked early last year and never had a single issue or problem. We dealt with Liam on every occasion and found him very professional, thorough and efficient....also great fun. The run up the big day was stress free thanks to the hotel, the meal was absolutely beautiful and all our guests raved about the hotel afterwards. Delighted to highly recommend the castle oaks and we hope to call in for a visit over the xmas.

We could not have asked for a better weekend.

We just had our wedding at the Castle Oaks House Hotel and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Liam and the staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. The food was delicious and the evening went like clockwork. The grounds surrounding the hotel are also great for photos. I would highly recommend the Castle Oaks. We had the best weekend of our lives. Thanks again Castle Oaks.

Such An Amazing Day

Hi Liam and team,

We had such an amazing day thank you so much. Hard to believe it's all over. You were so easy to work with from start to finish and the staff, service, food and hotel itself were just amazing. People are still talking about how beautiful the hotel is and that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. We had an absolute ball and are so glad we picked castle oaks house hotel. We'll definitely be back to visit! The trip in the VW Camper van took 3hours 45mins in the end, and we were frozen but it was worth it!

The perfect Wedding venue

My new husband and I are delighted to recommend the Castle Oaks House Hotel to anyone who is planning their wedding in the Munster area. The location is stunning, the staff were simply amazing and the food is divine!

Although they host 100's of weddings every year, they made us feel like we were the only one the whole time. Liam, Ciara, Patrick and the team were available to us no matter the question both before and on the big day.

All our guests have been raving about how delicious the food was! The team were very kind to recommend their favourite dishes and offer us advice and they were absolutely right on everything.

The venue and the grounds looked amazing on the day, we were super lucky with the weather given that it's November, so the grounds had a blanket of autumn leaves. The colours, the woods and the Shannon all came together to give a stunning backdrop.

We could not have asked for a better venue, I highly recommend the Castle Oaks. You will not be disappointed!

Thank you to all the staff, we'll be back to celebrate our anniversaries for years to come!

Absolute Perfection

Excellent service, could not fault it our wedding went off without any hitches. Thanks to Gobnait, Liam, Jamie and all the staff at Castle Oaks hotel for making our day special. Service was professional and food was fantastic. Our guests still raving about how they enjoyed themselves and what a lovely venue for a wedding. Liam kept us at ease by ensuring everything went smoothly. We would highly recommend Castle Oaks to bridal couples looking for perfection start to finish.

March 2015

I got married in the Castle Oaks March this year. We had a two day wedding, with a BBQ the second day also in the Castle Oaks. Over the whole weekend, and the year building up to our wedding, I can honestly say I do not even have one complaint. The staff went above and beyond to help me with every single detail. In fact, Liam even suggested little touches for the day (that meant more work for him) just to make it more special. I cannot say enough about him, he was just wonderful to deal with, absolutely professional and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job and care about making our day as beautiful as possible. All the staff were so smily, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The room was beautiful. Most of my guests stayed for the whole weekend it felt like we had our own little village set in the beautiful grounds for the weekend. People commented that they felt they were 'on holidays'. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, especially if you are thinking of a 2 day wedding like us :)

We had our wedding in the castleoaks on thursday june 25th. We dealt with liam and jamie who bent over backwards to do everything to make our day so special. They also made sure that guests who were running late had dinner cooked for them that night. Both the grounds and the hotel are absolutly amazing. We would 110% recommend the castleoaks for anything family occasions. Thank you so so much to the manager liam and all the staff at the castleoaks house hotel.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Castle Oaks in august of this year. I can't recommend the hotel enough. From the staff to the amazing meal we had it was faultless..we had a bbq the next day and the chef cooked amazing chicken skewers and burgers! all top quality and my guests still taking about those burgers!
thanks to all the staff that made our day so special.

Thanks for giving us the best day of our lives.

I would just like to say how absolutely delighted we were with our wedding on the 4th May 2014. We would not have changed a thing and we will be singing the hotels praises to everyone we meet.The food was exactly as we tasted when we did the food tasting and people are still raving about it and I can't believe everyone was offered seconds too! Not a chance of anyone going hungry!

Jamie was fantastic, completely professional, but lovely with it. Nothing was too much trouble. Even when I messed up on the seating plans, he sorted it all out and it all went without a hitch! Meeting Gobnait initially was great when we were looking around. We were on a flying tour of hotels in Ireland and she fitted into our plans which was very accommodating. It was lovely to have the personal touch and she was there throughout the wedding as well which was very good. Orla and Kathryn were also great and quickly replied to emails no matter how silly the questions were!

The day before and the day of and the day after, I was made to feel very special and even the bar staff knew may name. The barbecue the day after was very professional and tasty and I would highly recommend making a few days out of it for anyone planning a wedding.

We couldnt have been happier

From the first initial show around of the venue right up to the day itself (15 months approx) we can not fault one thing . I am from Dublin originally so I was not familiar with Castle Oaks . When we arrived there , I was taken in instantly by the beautiful gardens and the River Shannon right on the doorstep .( The photographs are amazing !) The House itself is so charismatic and charming . When you first enter the foyer you are met with a beautiful archway and staircase. I could instantly picture my wedding being held here . We had decided on a summer wedding and this location was the best choice we made . The staff & service we received were next to none. Our guests and ourselves were blown away with the food .

On our wedding day , we were lucky to get a scorcher and we were able to have our drinks reception outdoors. Castle Oaks have the ideal set up for this and with the mature gardens surrounding the house.

With regards to accommodation there are only 20 rooms in the main house, which I reserved for family, however the rest of our guests stayed in the garden suites and holiday homes . Both of which got great reviews and have very attractive prices for a wedding party . This was a factor also in booking as we had a lot of people travelling .

I could type all day about how great this venue was for our wedding, and indeed would be a perfect getaway for any time of year , but Ill stop now and say that we couldnt have been happier and I would recommend this hotel again and again.
