So you have picked out the perfect wedding dress, it accentuates what you love most about your body, and hides the parts that you want to be hidden. However, you have decided that in order to look your very best on your big day, a few pounds need to be shed. There are different parts of our bodies that we love and hate and so we recommend that instead of putting yourself through the paces of doing a full body workout 4 times a week, you focus on toning and improving the areas you want to look their best on your wedding day...and wedding night!

The most common areas that most women would like to tone are the upper arms, tummy and thighs.

Push-ups are an excellent way to tone your upper arms. Doing 20 plus push-ups a day will ensure you see results by the time you reach the big day. Alternatively, if you would prefer to use weights instead of doing push-ups, bicep curls can be done in the comfort of your own home using dumbbells. These are easy to purchase from your local sports shop and can be relatively cheap. It is important to keep reps high (20 or more) but weights moderate, this way, your last five reps should be where you feel it the most.

The best way to achieve a flat tummy is to do plenty of cardiovascular exercises such as walking, swimming or running. All of these exercises will reduce your body fat, making it easier to tone your stomach and see the results.

Basic crunches are a very good way of toning up your abs. Lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor. Using your abdominal muscles, lift your upper body off the ground, hold for a few seconds, then, return to your starting position. Complete three sets of 20 reps.

To tone up your thighs, we suggest doing squats as this is one of the most effective ways of toning thighs. Juts ten to fifteen reps of this is a great way of including thigh toning in your exercise regime.

Doing these simply yet effective exercises will help to tone and shape your body, only in the areas you want to change.
